7/365 - Piano "We'll meet again"

One of my all time favourite songs is "We'll meet again" written by Hughie Charles and Ross Parker.  My sheet music was printed in 1939, and sold for 40 Canadian cents.  This was one of the many pieces of music left with the piano to me by my incredible Grandma.

I love this song so much, that I've asked that it be played at my funeral (yes, I'm one of those people with a whole page of notes attached to my Will as to what I'd like during the service).  Not creepy, just organised!!!

Let's say goodbye with a smile dear,
just for a while dear, we must part
Don't let the parting upset you,
I'll not forget you sweet heart
We'll meet again,
don't know where,
don't know when
but I know we'll meet again
some sunny day
Keep smiling through,
just like you, always do
till the blue skies drive
the dark clouds far away
so will you please say hello
to the folks that I know
tell them I won't be long
they'll be happy to know
that as you saw me go
I was singing this song
We'll meet again
Don't know where
Don't know when
But I know we'll meet again
some sunny day
